I have joined two new Science Council initiatives to promote wider understanding of the diversity and influence of science throughout the UK. Through an Orange ‘Do Some Good’ mobile app, school students (or anyone) can ask questions on science subjects and get them answered by practising scientists – I’m now one of the scientists! Linked to this, the Hidden Science Map allows people involved in using, teaching, learning or creating science and technology in the UK can mark their location, revealing the hidden landscape of UK science! Find me in Sheffield…
