The work I do, wherever possible, I do because the work is good. See my Ethics statement. This means that, wherever necessary, I make my work available as it is needed regardless of ability to pay – particularly to individuals, voluntary and community groups with very limited funding.
I aim to make my environmental, academic quality, researcher development, foresighting, mentoring and facilitation expertise accessible to organisations working for environmental and social benefit, while maintaining a sustainable business model. Commercial rates therefore help subsidise reduced-cost support for charities and community-led projects.
Day Rates
| Commercial and Higher Education | £750/day: For private sector businesses, developers, utilities, consultancies, and HEIs. |
| SMEs | £650/day: For small and medium-sized businesses with limited consultancy budgets. Always ready to discuss specifics. |
| Grant-funded projects | 50-75% of commercial rate (£375-£560/day): For projects funded through grants, with rates agreed according to project scale, funder and funding levels, and organisational capacity. |
| Registered charities | £350/day + expenses: For registered charities and not-for-profit organisations delivering public benefit. |
| Community groups | Pay what you can: For volunteer-led community organisations, local environmental groups, and grassroots initiatives without core funding. |

Facilitation, Training, Mentoring, Coaching and Ad Hoc Advice
Hourly rates might be more appropriate to cover:

Expenses
