Photography, Print & Ink // For sale // Collaboration and commission
I produce my artworks as the River Don Inkworks. This name originates in a studio I used to work in which was located in an old pub building within earshot of the industrial River Don near the Wicker in Sheffield. You can visit my online shop on Etsy, or browse the galleries below. If you like my work then Buy me a Coffee: I’ll email you a photo or digitised artwork every time to say thanks, and your support will help me keep making new art works!
I also work to commission and specialise in curating unique sets of images featuring the nature, places and environmental processes of the River Don catchment in South Yorkshire. However, as a geographer I have a broad and deep knowledge of environments and places right across the UK and can work with you to produce beautiful, bespoke images and interpretations that have really significant meaning for you.
Digital art
All these artworks are produced using digital processes and copyright by me, from my original photography. You can buy prints in a variety of formats – details tbc.

Brute Force – Sheffield Water
Photography
My work orbits around four centres of gravity: the city of Sheffield and its brutalised landscape; the light and air of the West Mayo coast, Ireland; my academic and intellectual engagement with water and its forms; and my love of the complex structures of trees and plants.
My primary interest is in content and composition, images which combine immediacy with those fleeting moments of arrangement and stillness in natural systems which are constantly changing and re-forming.
